About the Position

The CFO is responsible for the financial management (reporting, treasury, budgeting and forecast, capital and asset management) for all A-dec entities (domestic and global).  The CFO reports directly to the COO.  The CFO directs and manages all information services and technology including implementation of all IT strategy and IS operations throughout the company. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Guide, direct and manage the Accounting/Finance, and Information Systems teams
  • In Finance, directly manage the Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and Financial Planning & Analysis functions
    • Oversight for all financial reporting and controls for all A-dec entities, including all internal financial management reporting and consolidation of enterprise level results
    • Oversee the annual financial statement audits for all A-dec entities
    • Oversee the annual budgeting and all financial forecasting
    • Capital management and deployment to align with strategic initiatives and long range goals for the shareholders
    • Advise COO on how corporate direction impacts financial results and communicate regularly on key areas of risk that must be actively managed
    • Provides financial guidance on framework for evaluating strategic projects and initiatives
    • Balance sheet management and optimization of the related metrics and KPI’s
    • Ensure company stays in compliance with all bank covenants
    • Establish and report on appropriate KPI’s for the business
    • Property and casualty risk management
    • Leverage COSO to establish appropriate enterprise risk management tools
    • Responsible for insuring the organization has a business continuity plan in place for IT, including cyber security risk mitigation
    • Coaching and guiding direct reports on annual goal setting and monitoring performance*
    • Work with each department management team on long range planning*
    • Working closely with VP of Global People & Culture, optimize organizational structures in Finance and IT
    • Provide guidance to executives and managers on financial results*
    • Work with GP&C leaders on appropriate financial acumen training to A-dec leadership
    • Deployment of artificial intelligence and automation tools to improve predictive financial forecasting and supporting analytics
    • Executive sponsor for any cross functional Finance or IT projects
    • Provide career counseling and development to direct reports and mentoring to others in the Finance, IT, and Property departments*
    • Establish and oversee department project roadmaps and project management*
    • Manage relationships with the CPA firm, bank, and insurance broker, and other related professional services firms
  • Strategic Planning
    • Work with the COO and Executive Team to execute the strategic planning process, evaluate alternatives in terms of overall return on investment and contribution toward strategic goals
  • Participate in the executive leadership and management of the organization, including:
    • Prepare and present at quarterly Board of Directors meetings
    • Coordinate annual audit report to the Board of Directors
    • Participate in all Executive Team meetings*
    • Quarterly updates to management on financial performance*
    • Liaison with dealer and partners on financial matters*
    • Financial and tax strategy*

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Finance, Business, or related degree along with relevant work experience
  • At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience with 5+ years in a senior finance leadership position managing a similar scope and sized manufacturing operation
  • Experience managing information technology projects and operations while in a finance leadership role
  • Ability to lead, be decisive, and lay out a vision for the departments of responsibility
  • Ability to communicate vision, motivate workforce, create effective teams and build peer relationships
  • Ability to create and implement strategies
  • Ability to initiate self-development
  • Comfortable speaking in public in front of large groups

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFO experience in a privately held company
  • Executive leadership experience in a manufacturing company
  • International business experience
  • M&A and/or Joint Venture experience including investment analysis
  • MBA or Master’s degree
