VERSATILITY – MFALS handles retail shipments, kitting, reworks, HEAVY Black Friday and Cyber-Monday volume, Club sales, Direct-to-Consumer shipments, refurbishing, and much more.

ADAPTABILITY – MFALS responds to client’s needs, guarantees same-day shipments on D2C orders, kitting approximately 900k units a quarter, storing overflow containers, and much more.

LOCATION – MFALS has 4 fully operational warehouses located just 5 minutes from each other in Chino, CA and a new warehouse located in Ontario, CA. Our headquarters are located just 40 minutes from the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.

SCALABILITY – MFALS manages a staff of more than 1000 full-time employees, operating 24/7 when necessary to meet our client’s demands.

About the Position

We are looking for a Human Resources Leader to become part of our growing company. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop the human resources function to assist the company in their strategic objectives. The HR Leader will facilitate the development of a safe, participative, and open work environment that reflects Motivational Fulfillment’s values. The Human Resources Leader is responsible for the overall administration of the Human Resources function; various responsibilities include Recruitment, Risk Management, Employee Relations, Payroll and Benefits Administration.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment and Staffing

  • Manage the workforce staffing plan including all talent acquisition and onboarding activities for the organization, including vendor management.
  • Coordinate new hire procedures including background investigations
  • Conduct new employee orientations
  • Conduct and document exit interviews
  • Staffing agency vendor management

Risk Management/Employee Relations

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; acts as a subject matter expert on California Wage and Hour practices.
  • Manage all worker’s compensation claims & reporting requirements.
  • Manage the OSHA reporting process.
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Conduct terminations or act as witness to terminations.
  • Conduct bi-annual sexual harassment training.

Payroll and Benefits Administration

  • Ensure accuracy of payroll and system data in Paylocity.
  • Conduct benefits enrollment process, including benefits orientations.
  • Act as benefits liaison for employees with benefit’s related inquiries.

Other:

  • Collaborate with company leadership to create a culture of respect, positivity, and inclusivity.
  • Analyze industry trends, best practices, and metrics to develop programs and policies.
  • Serve as a trusted coach to all levels of the organization, including a thoughtful approach to company culture and employee experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and PHR preferred or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7 years relevant work experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all federal, state, and local employment laws including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, EEO/Affirmative Action, Worker’s Compensation, and Unemployment.
  • Ability to work effectively in HR Information Systems; Paylocity a plus.
  • Experience partnering with a senior leadership team and have a high level of written and oral communication skills.
  • Must possess a high degree of integrity in handling confidential information.
  • Experience managing a large variable workforce including oversight and relationship with staffing partners
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Must be self-directed and motivated.
  • Must be fluent in Spanish.
