TTS / Festool offers high quality, high performance power tool systems and solutions for professional craftsmen in specific trades. Festool has seen rapid growth over the past years both in Europe and in North America. We strive to offer products and solutions to our customers, that help them get their jobs done faster and more profitably. TTS / Festool generates about USD 700 million in sales with about 3000 employees worldwide.

The Company

TTS / Festool and Bott are currently establishing a joint venture company named Systainer Systems North America LLC that develops and drives the sales and distribution of:

a) Smartvan in-vehicle equipment (mainly via a new US-specific online configurator – refer to UK version www.bottsmartvan.co.uk
b) Tanos plastic container and Systainer systems for professional and industrial customers (www.tanosus.com) (www.systainer3.com)

The two brands with their respective product offerings are forming a one-stop-shop end-user proposition based on synergic solutions that become increasingly system relevant for customers within the following customer segments:

a) craftsman like carpenters, re-modellers, wood workers, painters and decorators (typical Festool users)
b) qualified tradesmen like electricians, plumbers and heating, air-conditioning and ventilation engineers / fitters.
c) mobile service technicians working in industries like forklift trucks, construction
machinery, elevators, wind turbines, etc.

Furthermore, each brand will promote its products for other typical customer segments. The company projects an annual sales volume of USD $20 million, including 3.000 sets of in-vehicle equipment within the next 5+ years.

The Role

As Business Unit Leader you will establish the Bott brand in North America and develop it to be a significant player in the premium in-vehicle equipment market. You will take responsibility for the development of the different sales channels and the corresponding marketing activities according to a developed business plan.

Together with the Finance & Operations Director you will be developing and managing the company from day one. The company will be based in Lebanon, IN.

Beside your active sales role you are responsible to recruit and manage a front and back office team of up to 10 employees.

Together with the Finance & Operations Director you will form the Executive Management Team of Systainer Systems North America LLC and regularly report to the Shareholders on the progress of this joint venture.

You will not only have responsibility for revenue and profit development but also for building the organization from a start-up into a stable, professional and accountable growth driven team.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be a dynamic individual, displaying hands-on commercial talent with entrepreneurial aspirations and able to demonstrate a 10+ year successful sales career within a technical and B2B environment.

Furthermore, the candidate should show high interest and be able to evidence sound experience with online sales- and distribution models as well as modern marketing tools like CRM. The candidate should be familiar with how to use and leverage social media platforms as an important influencer and awareness driver.

Because the company will be incorporated from beginning 2022, the role will initially involve a significant amount of hands-on business development. Therefore, the candidate should preferably be able to leverage his / her network / contacts from their business book within one of the mentioned customer segments to accelerate market entry. It is of paramount importance that the candidate shows an ability to be highly communicative, with motivational and organizational skills to drive forward team development in a positive spirit.
